I love visiting Scotland, Glasgow to be exact and it's friendly Glaswegian folk.
Glasgow is the largest City in Scotland and as such has a lot to offer visitors to see and do. With over 20 museums to visit and fantastic shopping on offer it is the perfect city get away.
On a recent visit I stayed at Hotel Indigo in the heart of Glasgow City. A short walk to all the shops and restaurants but far enough away not to be bothered by any of the hustle and bustle of the street noise.
As a boutique hotel Indigo offers a vibrant modern and comfortable room. The bed was huge and really comfortable. The best nights sleep I have had in ages.
Those amongst us who love their bath you will not find one here but worry not they have a fantastic rain shower instead. The hotel also offers lovely Jo Malone toiletries, tea, coffee and mini bar nibbles.
The hotel bar for some evening cocktails before hitting the town also comes highly recommended.
Visiting this time in October, venturing out for dinner it was pouring with rain. So my mission was to find dinner as quickly as possible and as near to the hotel.
We settled on Ad Lib on Hope Street a relaxed globally influenced restaurant. The menu from a quick glimpse had loads of lovely offerings and deciding what to have was going to be tough.
No meal however would be complete without having Irn-Bru Scotland's other National drink to start. I haven't drunk Irn-Bru since I was a child and my Scottish Grandfather used to give it to me as a treat. Brings back wonderful memories.
For my main I opt for Scottish half Lobster served with garlic butter, fries, rocket salad and chipotle mayonnaise £15.00
A wonderful meal and stay in Glasgow and can't wait for my next visit to Scotland.
