Dulwich Village

Dulwich Park
I love the hustle and bustle of London, but every now and then I like some peace and quite. When I am in this mood, I love to visit some of London's best parks. London has some fabulous parks so living here we are spoilt for choice:

Hyde Park
Richmond Park
Dulwich Park is a favourite local park. The park is set in beautiful Dulwich Village. The village houses the Dulwich Picture Gallery and is a foodies paradise so I thought I would share some highlights with you.

Dulwich Village If you are looking for cake and tea I have two suggestions:

1. Gail's Artisan Bakery: Is perfect for morning brunch on a weekend or cake and tea. They serve huge mugs of coffee too.

2. Romeo Jones: A quaint coffee shop with home-made cakes.

They also have a lovely shop selling beautiful kitchen utensils and yummy Deli food produce.

After a wonderful foodie feast I love nothing more than walking it off at Dulwich Park.

  1. Ooooooh I've never been to Dulwich Park, it looks so lovely and those little coffee shops are amazing! My favourite park was always St James, I took Simon for a walk round there on our first date ... I have lovely memories of awkward first conversations and dodging flying pigeons :D

  5. My favourite place to escape to is the coast, and I'm so lucky that I currently live just 10minutes away from some beautiful beaches here in the north east, the further north the more beautiful they get! When we visit London I love a bit of a the hustle and bustle, the sheer urbaness of it all, but somehow we do always end up gravitating towards a park by the end of our stay... hopefully next time we can check out Dulwich (and one of those cafes!) x

  6. I am currently on the look out for a new place to escape, having just moved! But I used to love blowing the cobwebs away at the beach in Aberdeen. This looks like a lovey park though, and I can't believe how good the coffee shops look!
